Last fall, the youth and adult leaders held a series of strategic planning meetings to improve our youth program. We incorporated feedback from several surveys and group discussions as well. Leaders and youth shared common goals around unity, spiritual growth, practical skills, and organized, meaningful activities. They aligned in wanting to build a supportive and Christ-centered community.
The youth emphasized the importance of fun, informal socializing, acknowledgment of doubts, and personalized support, while leaders focused more on structure, spiritual development, and traditional pathways for growth.
Top 3 Themes:
1- Social Unity
"Feeling like one big group instead of six small groups."
"Make sure everyone feels included.”
2- Spirituality
“Be able to learn more about the Savior.”
“Christ-centered activities.”
“More temple trips-possibly as a class”
3-Mental Strength/Resiliency
“To learn how to feel good about ourselves.”
“Feeling happy and sage and be yourself.”
“Keep going and staying strong with Mindset.”
This year, we would like to build on that work and would appreciate both youth and parents taking a brief survey. Can you please complete the respective surveys by Saturday, September 27? The Youth Council has a meeting September 28 and looks forward to reviewing the replies.

Parents, can you please flag the youth survey for your kids? Not sure how many of them actively monitor their emails... :)
